Waitrose Communities Matters Initiative - Abbeyfield Donation
Abbeyfield gave a big thank you to the staff and customers of Waitrose store in Belgravia this month after receiving a cheque for £500. The Waitrose Communities Matters initiative supports local charities and community groups across the UK. Jill Burder, Abbeyfield Fundraising Manager, commented “We are delighted to receive this support from Waitrose and from the customers visiting the store in Belgravia. The Communities Matters scheme is unique in that it is the customers who indicate which charities should receive support each month and it is also a wonderful chance for us to raise our profile and the work we do in helping older people in the UK.”
