The Abbeyfield Society incorporates 225 societies. Together, they run around 500 houses to provide accommodation for 7,000 residents and are supported by around 5,000 volunteers. While staff in Abbeyfield's head office in St Albans, Hertfordshire, run a large number of Abbeyfield houses and care homes, many are still managed independently by volunteers.
Abbeyfield currently owns and manages over 150 houses and around 20 care homes, with a further 225 affiliated Abbeyfield Society Houses and 60 care homes across the UK.
