SIXTY-FIVE classic cars rolled into Gerrards Cross, bringing 85 years of motoring history to the village. The Memorial Centre hosted the charity show, organised by Abbeyfield Gerrards Cross Society and the Rotary Club of Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Peter.
The immaculately prepared cars braved the bad weather conditions on Wednesday 26th August, and organisers hope to make the show an annual event.
The oldest car was built in 1924 while many pre and post war Rolls Royce and Bentley sedans were joined by other famous British names. There were also World War II jeeps and the latest 180mph Morgan AeroMax.
Rotary President, Jim Patterson, commented “This was a trip down memory lane for the older generation and a fascinating glimpse for young children of world beating cars once produced by our own country.”
