Abbeyfield currently owns and manages around 200 supported sheltered houses and around 20 care homes, providing housing, support and care to residents across England.
At the heart of our owned properties is the principle that we are accountable to our residents for the services we provide. We continue to work with a number of national and local partners to develop our range of services and are committed to providing the highest standards of housing, care and support for vulnerable adults across England.
Our way of life provides a balance of privacy, support and security that can be ideal for anyone aged 55 and over who no longer feels happy living alone and does not want to share with relatives.
Living in our accomodation
Each house and home offers residents their own private room where they can bring their own furniture and personal items to have it exactly as they wish. Most of our rooms have their own private bathroom and offer security and companionship in a homely atmosphere.
Moving into our accomodation
We aim to provide homes that everyone can afford, whatever their income. We give preference to people in greatest need. There is no upper age limit.
Charges vary according to local costs and we will be pleased to help residents claim benefits and any other financial help they may be entitled to. Our charges cover food and all utility bills (such as gas, and electricity), but residents have to pay their own phone bill. In our care homes Abbeyfield fees are inclusive of all costs associated with accommodation and personal care with the exception of items of a personal nature. Details of our charges are available on request.
Abbeyfield are firmly rooted in the local communities from which residents often come to us. People living in our houses and homes are very much part of their neighbourhood and enjoy the friendly contact this brings. We are committed to providing the highest standards of housing, care and support for older people.
